I've e...Ahh, see, this doesn't surprise me <I>at all</I>. I've experienced nearly as much closed-mindedness and bigotry from the left as I have from the right. Though this is a particularly insidious and target bigotry against Muslims, it is completely consistent with an approach I've seen throughout the same sex marriage debate:<BR/><BR/>On the right you get bigotry against homosexuals and an unwillingness to listen to their pleas for equality, and on the left you get bigotry against, well frankly, social conservatives (a big group to be sure), and an unwillingness to listen to any argument against same-sex marriage. I've even been called a bigot for supporting civil unions, and told that I was only motivated to that position by my animus for homosexuals. There's a proud tradition of "open minded" people being ridiculously unwilling to consider what the other side is saying. This manifestation is particularly troubling, but it's nothing new.<BR/><BR/>My word verification is "croon".
