Great Moments in World History

In 1973, a group of Ojibwe (Anishinabe) Indians led by Adam Nordwall flew to Rome and discovered Italy. They proceeded to claim the peninsula for the Ojibwes. Sadly, they gave it back two days later.

My references for this are piecemeal, so Google it if you want to learn more. Either way, it's a great slap in the face of the Columbophiles out there.

Columbophiles....heh. Sounds like people who want to have sex with Columbus. Or the town of Columbus, Ohio. Actually, there probably ARE people who want to have sex with Columbus, Ohio. If by that you mean the populace of the town. And assuming there are any bisexual nymphomaniacs in Columbus. Those people would be Columbophiles. Although I fail to see how they would feel slapped by Adam Nordwall.

As you can see, I'm not full of insightful comments this morning.
