Italian for "Terri Schiavo"

Hmmm... a government controlled by right-wing religious nuts decides to try to score cheap political points by ham-handedly intervening in a personal tragedy with which the government ought to have no business interfering... must be Italy?

Perhaps Italian MPs have seen too many soccer matches, and think she's faking it in order to draw a penalty kick?

How interesting...this is all over the place.

Here in Huntsville we have our own Terri Schiavo parents v. spouse situation going on. So far I believe it's confined to the courts.

I dunno... this is two posts in a row where you've started off with variations of "right wing religious nuts". And though you raise perfectly valid points in both, I find myself slightly off-put, and wanting to defend the religious (at least in part). I don't really have any comments of substance, but perhaps you could win a few more style points? Wow I'm demanding, huh?

In other news, I finally saw a picture of you, via facebook, where someone tagged Ben in pictures of your wedding. You're taller than I imagined you.

For whatever reason, Matt's statement reminds me of the scene in "Braveheart" when the Irish guy goes, "This can't be William Wallace. I am prettier than this man!"
